Publish with us

Every aspiring writer wants to see his or her name on a book cover, but where does one start? That's when Milap's Self-Publishing Program comes into the picture. Easy, organized, and fun, it guides your story from the desk drawer to actual bookshelves.

Rather than waiting forever or confusing publishing terminology, this program provides kids and young people with a straightforward route: write, submit, and become published. Combine the appropriate balance of assistance and praise, and the process does not feel like homework but rather an appreciation of imagination.

What Do I Need to Submit?

Getting started is easy! To ensure we get your idea and writing style, we require a clear proposal of your book. Your proposal must contain:

  • A synopsis – a brief summary (approximately 300–350 words) that explains what your book is about, its themes, and why it is unique. Think of it as your book's elevator pitch!
  • The first three chapters – these introduce us to your voice, rhythm, and how the story unfolds. Don't worry if you think it's not "perfect" yet, we just want to see your potential.

If your proposal thrills our team, we'll then ask you for your full manuscript for further review.

When you send your email, ensure the mail body contains:

  • Your full name
  • Your Email ID
  • Your Contact number

This enables us to stay in touch with you throughout the process. Keep in mind, this is not a test; it's just the initial step to making your book come alive!

Where do I send my work?
  • Send by email to: info@milappublications.com
  • Every submission should be typed out in a readable font
When Do I Hear Back from You?

When we receive your submission, our editors thoroughly read your proposal to determine whether it's the best choice for our publishing program. We take about a few weeks to do this, so we can provide each submission with the care it needs.

  • Acknowledgement: You will be sent an acknowledgement email when we receive your work.
  • Review Period: Proposals are reviewed within 4–6 weeks.
  • Next Steps: If your work is shortlisted, we'll contact you to ask for your full manuscript and to talk through next steps.

We know how thrilling (and occasionally intimidating) this phase can be, so don't worry, we'll keep in touch. If you don't hear back from us within the timescale you were expecting, you're always welcome to email to ask for an update on the progress of your submission.
